Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend Ted tries to lure Linda to Hollywood to be his new dance partner, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love?

The Abundant Life in Christ
Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn celebrates life and love with a story told against the backdrop of holiday celebrations. And what are holidays anyway? The word itself gives us a hint: holy days. Holidays are days set apart for a sacred purpose of worship. In the Scriptures, God gave the first holy days to His people when he instructed Moses to set apart days for special offerings to the Lord and feasts of celebration. It is God who taught us to worship Him in confession, thanksgiving, and in feasts of celebration!
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:10b
Without Christ, we are in bondage–the chains of our own sin. But Jesus Christ came to set us free from the bondage of sin and death, and to give us abundant life. And that is why we celebrate!
The holidays on our calendar exist because of what Christ did for us!
Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for all the gifts He gives, whether it be the food on our table, the friends and family around it, or the freedom we have in Christ.
Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ. It is Jesus Christ, God with Us, who makes it possible for us to be free from sin and to draw near to our Creator.
New Year’s Day marks a fresh beginning to a new year. God told Moses to mark the new year with the Day of Atonement. Jesus came once and for all to atone for sins. When we believe in Him, we are made new and given a new beginning!
Valentine’s Day is the feast day of the historical Christian martyr St. Valentine, known for secretly marrying couples who were forbidden to marry by the emperor who wanted single men for his military. Today, when we celebrate love, especially married love, on February 14 we can also remember the gift of marriage that God ordained for us.
Easter brings the ultimate celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the dead! Traditionally a day for wearing one’s Sunday best, American ladies once were sure to wear a striking Easter hat!
Independence Day might be purely American, and yet what is civic freedom without the ultimate freedom that Christ brings?
Wedding Feasts celebrate marriage! But for Christians, every wedding feast looks ahead to the ultimate marriage feast that the Bible says will come at the end of days, when Christ comes for His church, also called His bride. Holiday Inn ends with a wedding–the ultimate happy ending that reminds us of the ultimate happy ending that we look forward to!

Asher Isaac
Music Director
Asher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Friends University and enjoys teaching private music lessons, drinking tea, and spending time with his wife Marial and his family and friends. Hailey Smith
Choreographer
Hailey began dancing at the age of six, but her love of dance especially grew in her high school years when she discovered that dance could be used to tell stories, convey words, and impact others. Her desire is to patiently care for, encourage, and instruct other dancers. While she has training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Partnering, Pointe, and Musical Theatre, she especially enjoys Ballet as it is so elegant and intricate.

Annie Weixelman
Choreographer
Growing up in Wichita Kansas, The performing arts has always been a part of Annie’s life as she grew up in Wichita, Kansas. At the age of 3 years old she was in her first musical with Encompass the Arts. Annie also began Ballet, Tap, and Jazz classes at this time and continued that for a couple years. Since then Annie has participated in 31 musicals with Christian Performance Theatre, Encompass the Arts, and Stage Lights Theater Company. Annie also performed in MTW’s teen choir for two years during high school and cheered with the Wichita Warriors for 9 years. As Annie loved performing in musicals, she specifically loved the dancing! Ever since she was little she would choreograph little dances for herself as well as memorize her older sisters’ dance routines.
