Hospitality
Preparing and serving food makes it possible for the artistic team and volunteers to focus on the show.

The Impact of Hospitality
Producing a CPT show is a big endeavor. Our Artistic Team of directors spend every Friday evening and most of Saturday leading rehearsals. Because of the service of the Hospitality committee, packing a lunch is one less thing that the directors and staff need to do, freeing them up to focus on the production.
Serving on the Hospitality Committee

Preshow Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee prepares lunch for the Artistic Team and staff during each Saturday rehearsal before tech week. Parent volunteers prepare the meal for the number of people and their dietary requirements. The committee’s chair organizes the team and typically the parent volunteers sign up to prepare the lunch several Saturdays during the rehearsal weeks.
For the evening of Costume and Props Parade, the Hospitality Committee organizes the sign-ups and serves food for the Artistic Team and parent volunteers.
The Hospitality Committee also prepares food for the “Super Saturday” lunch at the theatre. Super Saturday, also called Load-in Saturday, is the first day in the performance space for show week. As parent volunteers are preparing the theatre, the Hospitality committee provides lunch and snacks for the other volunteers, and also provides a smaller dinner for the tech and sets volunteers who may be in the theatre much later.
Show Week Hospitality Committee
Parent volunteers assigned to the Hospitality Committee during show week organize the parent potluck meals for Monday-Wednesday evenings, distribute and serve two cast meals on Thursday and Friday, prepare a coffee station for volunteers, and organize the sign-ups and serving of Greenroom snacks.Â
