Interested in assisting in a CPT Full Production?
We welcome teens (ages 13 and older; 15 and older for backstage) as crew assistants! Serving as a teen assistant on a CPT full production is a valuable opportunity to gain experience in working alongside others in a theatre production crew. We are currently taking applications for our Fall 2025 full production, Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn.

To serve on our crew for Holiday Inn, you must be available for the following call times:

Monday, October 20 (Dress Rehearsal)
4:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Tuesday, October 21 (Dress Rehearsal)
4:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Wednesday, October 22 (Dress Rehearsal)
4:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Thursday, October 23 (Dress Rehearsal & Show)
12:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Friday, October 24 (Show)
5:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Saturday, October 25 (Show & Strike)
12:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Understanding the Different Teams
We have several Show Week Parent Committees who need teen assistants: backstage sets, tech, props, makeup, special activities, and house.Â
When you complete your form, indicate your 1st, 2nd and 3rd committee preferences. We try to honor your preferences, but we will place where most needed.
How do teens help during Show Week?
Backstage: Move sets and props before and during the show backstage.
Tech: Work the spotlights and help with technical set-up of lights and sound.
Props: Move props before and during the show.
Hair & Makeup: Assist the hair and makeup committee with styling of hair and application of makeup during dress rehearsals and shows.
Special Activities: Help run the concession stands, deliver candy-grams.
House: Usher/assist with tickets.
Please note:
- If we receive a large amount of applications, Backstage Committee slots will be assigned to those with previous experience (and good reports from backstage leaders) and/or to volunteers 16 or older.Â
- Please choose three different choices. Ultimately, we will need to place you where you are needed. Making all three choices the same does not increase your chances of getting your preferred choice.Â

Crew Shirts from our Shop
Volunteers working on the Backstage or Props committees are required to wear black, long-sleeved shirts. If you would like, you may purchase a CPT Crew shirt.
