Amy Shelden Loucks is a theatre teacher, director, and musician in Wichita. For the past 7 years she has been the Theatre Arts Director at Trinity Academy, directing and designing over 20 musicals, plays, and showcases there. Prior to this she worked as a grant writer at Friends University and as a teacher and artistic staff member at Christian Youth Theater. She holds a bachelor’s in English Literature from Friends University and a masters of arts in Directing from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). Amy has many favorite experiences with CYT from teaching movement and drama classes and workshops to designing lights, stage managing, assistant directing, and getting to work with her youngest sister Susan and her mom when Susan was a CYT student. Besides theatre, Amy codirects the nonprofit music group Philoxenia Choral Collective, performs regularly around Wichita with her husband Chris, and loves leading worship at her church.
