Taryn Baker

Taryn (Sweat) Baker is a CYT/CPT Wichita alumna and is so excited to be back as an instructor for her first class! She graduated from Friends University with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Music Theatre. After serving as the Intern Director for CPT’s production of Beauty and the Beast, she’s thrilled to continue investing in the community that first sparked her love for theatre.

CYT/CPT has always felt like a second home to Taryn, and she hopes her classroom is a place where students feel encouraged to take creative risks, make bold character choices, and grow in confidence both on and off the stage. She loves helping students discover the unique gifts God has given them, embrace who they are, and find the joy that comes from bringing those gifts to life through theatre. She believes theatre should be full of joy, laughter, and a willingness to try something new. She can’t wait to see what this season has in store for each of her students.
