Annie Weixelman

Wichita native, WSU Education major, and youngest of eight daughters, Annie has performed in over 30 musicals since age three. At age 8, Annie did her first CYT musical and became hooked. Performing for an audience of friends and strangers was thrilling. Annie continued performing with CYT/CPT until she graduated from high school, as well as performing with other groups like Stage Lights Theater Company and Music Theatre Wichita’s Teen Choir. In high school, Annie started dancing with Paquita Dance Center and taught dance there for the last two years. Additionally, she has choreographed for Stage Lights and Lolek Theatre Company. Annie is an advocate for the arts because she believes in beauty, which points to God. Annie loves this quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky: “I believe the world will be saved by beauty. Therefore, the beauty that will save the world is Christ. God became man to save us, he died to give us life and offer us resurrection.”
