Paul Preedy

Music has been a major part of Paul’s life since childhood – church and school choirs, a traveling Ukulele band, madrigal singers, vocal jazz ensembles, barbershop quartets, worship bands, and, of course, music theater! His favorite roles include Santa in ‘Shaping up, Santa’, Linus in ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’, the Tin Man in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, and most recently Oaken in CPT’s ‘Frozen’. Paul earned a B.A. degree in Music, an M.A. in Intercultural Studies, and served as a missionary for several years with his wife, Megan. Part of Paul’s life as a missionary involved missiological ethnomusicology – finding ways to use indigenous musical genres to further the gospel and encouraging indigenous worship composition through local believers. The Preedy family started their involvement with CPT in 2021, and Paul has served in a number of volunteer roles backstage. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, reading, and writing music.
